Overview
The National Quantum Mission (NQM) is structured to drive quantum research, innovation, and commercialization through dedicated Thematic Hubs (T-Hubs). Each T-Hub is led by an Overall Coordinator (Project Director) and supported by specialized Technical Groups comprising Principal Investigators (PIs), with a nodal point as the Lead Principal Investigator (LPI). The hubs operate as Section 8 companies, fostering breakthrough research, accelerating the development of quantum technologies, and ensuring sustainability to drive long-term innovations in India.
This framework enables focused research, industry collaboration, and talent development, ensuring the seamless integration of quantum technologies into real-world applications. By fostering partnerships between academia, startups, and industries, NQM aims to build a strong quantum ecosystem that supports innovation and commercialization.
Through strategic initiatives, the mission will bridge the gap between foundational research and practical deployment. This will strengthen national security, drive economic growth, and position India as a global leader in quantum science and technology.
